MAPI's Amalea Híjar Honored as a Leading Forty Under 40® Nonprofit Leader
December 14, 2016; Arlington, VA. The Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation (MAPI) is pleased to announce that Council Director Amalea Híjar is one of the recipients of the Association Forum and USAE’s Forty Under 40® Awards, which recognize up-and-coming nonprofit executives. Amalea joined MAPI in September and leads MAPI’s Marketing, Sales, and Strategic Planning & Development Councils.
“We knew Amalea would be an incredible asset to the MAPI team,” said MAPI President and CEO Stephen Gold. “We are very proud of this accomplishment.”
Prior to joining MAPI, Híjar was the associate director of member strategy for the American College of Cardiology, a senior manager at the American Staffing Association, and an operations manager at the National Association of Charter School Authorizers. She is an active member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and often contributes to its publications.
“I feel very honored to have been chosen for this award,” said Híjar. “I’ve greatly enjoyed working in the nonprofit community. I look forward to continuing to support MAPI’s membership and the manufacturing sector as we move into an exciting new year.”
