Anti-Corruption Developments in the BRIC Countries: A MAPI Series
The BRICs and other countries are increasingly coming to the realization that effective anti-corruption measures are an important factor in integrating into the global business community, becoming more attractive to foreign direct investment, and realizing or sustaining goals of economic growth and expansion.
The last two years represent a watershed for anti-corruption developments and enforcement activity. MAPI recently released the last part of a series on anti-corruption efforts in Brazil, Russia, India, and China. It is hoped that the series, authored by Frederick T. Stocker, Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, will assist companies in refining their anti-corruption compliance programs to ensure that they take into consideration the changing landscape of different national legal regimes to which their global business dealings expose them.
