Prior to joining MAPI, Marie authored and prepared a report on the unintended consequences of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act on small business in 2004 that garnered extensive recognition from lawmakers, the SEC, and PCAOB. She also played a key role in getting TechAmerica Board members appointed to SEC Advisory Committees and prepared executive witness testimony for Congressional hearings. In addition to testifying before state legislatures, she coordinated key policy issues affecting business as vice president and counsel at TechAmerica, a high-tech trade association, where she started working in 2003. Marie has a J.D., magna cum laude from American University Washington College of Law.
