MAPI Webinar: MAPI Quarterly Forecast for U.S. Economic and Manufacturing Growth

In this half-hour webinar, Dan Meckstroth, Vice President and Chief Economist, will present MAPI’s revised forecast for economic and manufacturing growth in the United States for 2014 and 2015. He will begin the discussion by describing the main factors that are driving economic growth and the business environment (GDP growth, inflation, energy prices, trade, etc.). The main focus of the discussion will be the implications of the economic forecast on the pace of manufacturing growth by industry.
Daniel J. Meckstroth, Ph.D., is vice president and chief economist for the Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation. Dr. Meckstroth provides comments and analysis on a wide variety of economic issues as they relate to the manufacturing sector and is the primary spokesperson for MAPI on business conditions and economic matters. Meckstroth also serves as a council director for the Purchasing Council. He is frequently quoted in the business press and writes extensively on business practices and manufacturing activity.
Meckstroth earned a Ph.D. in economics, a Master of Arts in economics, and a Master of Arts in industrial relations, all from the University of Cincinnati. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Eastern Kentucky University.
