MAPI’s Xu Testifies Before U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission

Yingying Xu, Ph.D., Economist for the Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation (MAPI), testified before the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission at a hearing on “The Evolving U.S.-China Trade & Investment Relationship” on Thursday, June 14, 2012 (http://bit.ly/M01Bxf).

Xu was a panelist regarding Trade Flows and the Evolving Bilateral Trade Balance. Other panelists included Judith Dean, Professor of International Economics, Brandeis University, and Shang Jim Wei, N.T. Wang Professor of Chinese Business and Economy, Columbia University.

The Commission also heard testimony from two additional panels, Trade Enforcement Challenges and Bilateral Investment Issues.

Trade Enforcement Challenges panelists included Michael McCarthy, Chief Legal Counsel, Infinera Corporation; James Fellowes, Chairman and CEO, Fellowes Inc.; and Ahmed Siddiqui, Founder of Go Go Mongo.

Bilateral Investment Issues panelists included Nova Daly, Public Policy Consultant, Wiley Rein LLP, and David Fagan, Partner, Covington and Burling LLP.
