The MAPI Shared Services Council has allowed me to stay current with my manufacturing peers and learn from and share with them key changes and challenges that we are all experiencing and managing. It is always comforting to know that others are experiencing similar challenges and in many cases we can leverage each others’ knowledge to determine the best way for us to manage these challenges in our company environments. A year or so ago we were reviewing our policies for capital expenditure approval levels and with the assistance of the MAPI survey tools we were able to quickly benchmark other company approval levels and decide what levels to recommend to our Senior management and BOD based on this benchmarking information.
