This webinar features an update on the Bacardi single sustainability metric model first presented at the MAPI Sustainability Forum last fall. Based on Financial Accounting Principles, the Bacardi Model allows the company to track over 30 discrete environmental variables with ONE METRIC. This is true regardless of the complexity of the set of activities that contribute to each variable, while factoring out virtually all of the statistical biases that plague typical efficiency and intensity metrics.

Steve Harvey, Bacardi’s Global Director for Environmental, Health and Safety, designed and refined this model with help from prominent financial accounting experts at North Carolina State University. Mr. Harvey will share how the method is applied, how Bacardi uses the data to drive business operations while meeting customer needs, and how manufacturers from all industries can apply the framework to their companies.
