A Council member asked MAPI to identify management policies regarding near-miss injury reporting. Within a week, MAPI conducted a targeted survey of members and supplied a presentation by a $4B energy company from a recent meeting on this very issue. According to the member, “we have long recognized the importance of a near-miss reporting program, but the ability to benchmark our program with that of our peers was a valuable exercise that substantiated our beliefs and provided ideas for further improvements.”
